Paypal withdrawal fee now 1%?

I just glanced at the Paypal transfers page in my account, and I see a 1% fee for withdrawals.

It used to be ever since I've been making money online for the past 7 years $5 dollars or 4 euros, depending on the currency you're withdrawing.

So you would withdraw, say, $1500 and lose $5 for the withdrawal. Now that same withdrawal would cost $15 at 1% fee.

When are they going to stop? They are so fucking expensive, and as time goes by they just keep increasing fees and keep increasing fees left and right.

Okay, seriously, I order all of you to start paying and taking payments in payoneer and transferwise and perfectmoney and skrill and cryptos and... toilet paper and pencils and goods whatever.

Not sure exactly what you're referring to, but at least in the USA, you can still withdraw for free.

Are you sure you didn't simply 'glance' at the menu and forget to read the lower part which gives you the option to withdraw for free?

In the USA, the fee is for instant transfers (not normal transfers), but PayPal has been really pushing it on their withdraw screen, and you actually have to take a closer look to find the free (regular) option.

Well, something weird is happening. I'm not from the US so I expect to be robbed just a little more.

That said, it's weird. When I go to withdraw, it shows me 1% fee both for Instant and Standard withdrawals. Instant is instant, and standard "should arrive in 1-3 days."

But, no matter which option I select, on the final withdrawal page it still shows I will receive the money instantly. It's like there's a bug on paypal.

Also weird, it shows me: "1% fee (25 RSD minimum and 1.000 RSD maximum) will be deducted"

So RSD is my local currency, and according to this, $0.25 is the minimum fee, and $10 is the maximum fee. So I guess it's 1% but max $10 fee, which is a little better than what I thought.

But for them to even show me the RSD (local currency) smells bad to me. Like... maybe some insanity to where they convert the USD or EUR into the local currency before sending me the money (and surely raping me right in the ass with a horrible conversion rate).

Ugh... fucking paypal... I gotta ask around to see what other people are experiencing with Paypal locally. I don't do too much business with paypal anymore (thanks god), but I still move money around and gotta know what the devil is up to.

Well i don't like the PayPal myself but its just that convenient for sellers that it has to be there for collecting payments, I have to agree with @Soucha In US you can still do standard transfers without a fee for instant transfers there is only 1% fee which is reasonable if you want access to money right away.

Maybe I just stop withdrawing money from Paypal completely and just use it all for business expenses and for buying Bitcoins.

I am from same country as you. They charge 1% fee with maximum of 1000RSD which is around 8$ or so, so even if you withdraw 5k$ you won't be charged more than that. I didn't withdraw anything in long time, just made 300$ withdrawal to Intesa since MOBI banka didn't work for some reason. It sucks receiving money because instant payment option is not available for these banks and for standard transfer there is almost no way for bank not to contact you to explain them where money is coming from(like they can't see its from personal Paypal account). So both of us are probably going to need to sign AML statement and explain it, but money should be in account in a week or so. At least that is how it was before.

Right on the fee, let's round it up to $10. It's still a 50% increase in fee. Used to be you withdraw (going by your example) $5k and you lose $5 bucks, now it's - almost - double.

I'm not sure what you're saying about banks contacting you. I withdrew tens of thousands of USD/EUR in the past 5 years to Intesa and I have never, ever been asked anything. And it was always standard transfer, I had never even seen "instant transfer" available for Paypal on my SRB Paypal account... until today that is...

Bu I don't use Paypal as heavily anymore, so I'm not sure what changes may have happened lately.

I don't need to sign nothing if this is the standard now to where you have to sign shit, I'll route it to Payoneer or crypto and cash it out differently. I ain't gonna be gotten by them sons a bitches!

I agree though, PayPal sucks, but it’ll stay like that until someone comes up with a better system I guess; that’s how competition works.

That's true.

For me, I'll take Payoneer and Transferwise over paypal every day of the week.

I have option for standard withdraw to bank account (free, takes 3-5 days) OR fast withdraw (2-3 minutes) for 1%. I like it actually.

mine is free when you withdraw atleast $200.00, and it's instant.
I have some USA stealths too, that 1% fee is for the fast/instant withdrawal option.

In what world s 1% a high fee? Even considering it was free, 1% is a pretty low fee, especially if its capped at $10 or whatever.

I have never really liked Paypal. And thank goodness i dont accept it now either.

I receive $570 with Paypal in a month (multiple payments) and I lose $46 in receiving fees.

I receive $1350 on Payoneer and Transferwise and I lose... well nothing, zero, maybe a buck on transferwise.

Then I withdraw money, I lose about $6 to withdraw $1300 with Payoneer the way I do it, and I lose like $0.70cents per withdrawal with Transferwise.

So Paypal is a piece of shit rapist son of a bitch in every case. AT LEAST until now their withdrawal fee was slightly lower than what I could get on Payoneer. But now, no more, their greed is insatiable. Fucking vampires.

And how much refunds you get from Payoneer or Transferwise? Do you ever consider what offering refunds means? The work force needed to deal with the complains? The money that disappear in fake accounts and have to be covered by PayPal? Do you think this is free? Let me tell you this - as a buyer of digital goods I do NOT deal with businesses that doesn't accept PayPal. Is simple as that. Why? Because I know that if the seller scam me, ill be getting my money back. Now you may hate PayPal as much as you want, but the facts are that the vast majority of buyers agree with me.

I don't get refunds from Payoneer and Transferwise. I never had one yet. I don't really get refunds from Paypal either. In my 7 years online I only had 1 very bad case of chargeback on Paypal, and a few baby ones scammers. I never really get legit chargebacks because if there's an issue and we talk with the customer and they have a valid reason to get their money back, I'll issue a refund. But it rarely comes to that too because I'll just offer other services and bonuses and usually people go for it.

You have no guarantees with Paypal that you will get your money back.

Two months ago I happen to have an issue on Paypal and Payoneer at the same time, 2 payments I made, identical cases. I raise a dispute on Paypal with their "process," and I contact Payoneer about it too (they don't have an in-built way to do a dispute, so I had to contact them). The result? Paypal lets the scammer keep my money, Payoneer refunds me.

The vast majority of buyers may agree with you, but given time and experience with Paypal they won't. Payoneer has a much better record.

Ultimately Paypal's days are numbered, with the appearance of more and more payment processors with smaller fees and the rise of cryptos, together with paypals increased fees and destruction of businesses and lives (crypto, adult, and the list goes on) left and right, paypal's days are numbered. Fuck em, good riddance.
