Paypal has been real annoying lately due to new security upgrade.

Anyways, I tried to pay invoice today and received this

"This number doesn't appear to be registered in your name".

So I decide to call them up and we both agree that phone number is verified. He asked me to use different device it failed. Asked me to clean cache and history then log back in. Still doesn't work then he says he doesn't know the problem.

Can anybody help?

You can get around this by using an android emulator on you pc, download the paypal app and then do your business with the app through the emulator. After a couple successful transactions using the app, the normal .Com site will work properly again.

What if I use my android phone can I just download PayPal app and emulator app and use it?

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I'm trying to get started making an anonymous PayPal account myself and I was wondering if you did anything special when you setup yours, assuming that you're using a different name/number? I wanted to PM this question to you, but I can't find the option.

Nope! Only difference is 3 weeks ago I got a new phone and new number. But I was able to verify number 3 weeks ago. I even called PayPal and they said my phone number is fine SMH

Problem still haven't been resolved. Through research I learned that phone number isn't registered in your name is just bullshit excuse for soft limit.

Basically, its just an excuse that PayPal gives you but in reality they're not gonna let you use your own money until they feel your account is secure.

I called them up again and lady said she will stop the security measures and now asked me to see if I can send payments now. Still couldn't do it but instead of it saying phone number isn't registered in your name it now says transactions can not be sent right now. Lady tells me to wait within 48 hours for security to release your account and I should be good. Fingers cross!

Invoice is $720 dollars. I know thats a lot but I have $1800 sitting in the account. My PayPal is 2 years old but haven't used it for a year and some months now I'm back and using it again.
