So I sold something on Ebay. Buyer payed via Paypal and I've sent the item to him. A few days later the postman rung at my door and returned the shipment to me with a note on it "addressee unknown".
I wrote a mail to the buyer telling him that DHL returned the shipment to me and asked him if his address is correct. Got no answer from this dude.

4 days later I got a mail from Paypal that he opened a case and wants his money back. He even got the nerve to tell them lies about me taking too high shipment costs, when in fact all I was asking for were the actual shipping costs.
I was like uhm what? Mailed them the tracking number and explained that I've sent the shipment to the address the buyer deposited at Paypal. I thought that's it and they would refuse to send the money back to the buyer since I did nothing wrong.

Today I get a mail from Paypal that they decided in favor of the buyer and returned his money. WTF? What's wrong with this company? I provided them a fucking tracking number! It's not my fault that this motherfucker of a buyer can't write his own address correctly.
    Man I'm really pissed now!

And that's how you lost the $ on your listing + service charges from PP. That went straight into PP's pocket because there was a retarded buyer on the other end.

This is why I don't see how eBay has survived this long. FML.

    I feel for you. Bro-Fist

LOL, that's the exact opposite of what happened to me.

I disputed transaction that was a membership fee for an online service (didn't get any of the advertised features, and the support of the site wasn't responsive at all). The guy sent 8-digit tracking number (it was like 38402864 - and how is this related to the service anyway?) and PayPal let the guy keep the money. I sent email to PayPal asking that why they didn't even think about asking the guy what was the tracking number (also asked why they think he'd have a tracking number other that PP transaction one in the first place) affiliated with (just eight digits, all numbers, should have "SHADY" written all over it). No response from PayPal.

Makes me wonder why they get away with all the crap they do on a daily basis. I really hope one day someone sues the hell out of this shitty company.

Well, maybe you don't explain enough for paypal. You need to be active enough and pinned the buyer down with your fact. Do you try to send the dhl invoice ?

PayPal buyer protection doesn't cover intangible items like services, software etc. Seller will always win dispute if sold item is intangible.

    Don't worry , you're not the only one :p
Check the good news i got:
    Code:

As you know, we have been using the information you provided to dispute a
chargeback filed against the transaction detailed below. Despite our best
efforts, the buyer's credit card company decided in favor of the buyer.

Unfortunately, we do not control the outcome of the chargeback decision
reached by the buyer's issuing bank in a credit card transaction. By
accepting the terms of the PayPal User Agreement, you agreed to accept the
decision of the issuing bank as final and legally binding for this type of
    dispute.

Please review the information below for more details about this case.

    -----------------------------------
    Details of Disputed Transaction
    -----------------------------------

    Buyer's name: xxxxxxx
    Buyer's email: xxxx@xxxxx.xx.x
    Transaction ID: xxxxxxxxxx

    Transaction amount: -$3,000.00 USD
    Case #: xx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx
    Your transaction ID: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
That was one of some websites i sold before but the asshole got a chargeback for the full amount.
they really suck but we can't do anything about , we have to deal with it

I doubt that I don't explained it enough. I gave them the link to the auction where the shipping costs were stated clearly. I also mailed them a link to DHL where they could see that I didn't asked for more than the actual DHL price of a shipment.
And yes I scanned the DHL invoice and sent it too to them.
What more could I have done?
