Yep, assuming that the debt had been bought of course.

I'm guessing that hasn't happened in this case as payment is requested direct to GayPal and not a third party.

I have a bunch of debt collectors after me from around your age bro... I do what gimme4free is advising. Just ignore them, they can't and won't do anything, and now they've given up... Worry about making money, not about giving it away, then pay it back years down the road... maybe

This happened to me when I was 16. If you are under 18, it is illegal for PayPal or any agency to go collecting money from a MINOR. Call them and tell them that your son (your name) is under 18 and is a minor. Then hang up.

I got two of these for two of my accounts. I Googled "debt collection cease and desist letter", got a nice one page template, copied and pasted it into a word document, and changed the information to fit my own. Printed, changed it again for the second account, printed it, sealed them both in separate envelopes, put on a return address, got two of my fancy looking labels from a fake address (empty parcel of land), went to the post office, bought two stamps, and off they went. This was last week. Still nothing from them, so I guess they shut the fuck up.

I can't believe they come after you for 80 bucks. seriosuly what is that going to do for them...losers

Legally you are still a minor, and NO debt collector has the legal right to collect a debt from a minor, paypal has no rights to sick a collector on you when you are not even of legal age for them to be dealing with you. Call the debt collector tomorrow and tell them you are 17. You have to ask mum to help. They will end up disposing of this. Keep your tail clean man a debt collector means this stupid shit went on your credit. Thats what I call i can"T read the person above has hit it straight on.
