Emails have started circulating claiming to be paypal. They get you to enter you paypal email address so that you can receive some "so called money" when really you're paying some scammer.

I got this from the warrior forum-

i won't fall for that as my account is set up in euro and i do not need any currecncy conversion to confirm :D. But i must say that the idea is ingenious. I use to receive a lot of such emails when i receive dollars payment.

You mean dead presidents aren't actually sending me money for nothing!?!? I better check with my buddies George Washington and Abe Lincoln to make sure they didn't in fact send me $25,000 apiece last week...

I've also gotten similiar emails claiming to be pay pal. One email even knew when my last purchase was and was asking for my pin to verify the purchase. I send these to paypal security and let them try and track it.
Thanks for the heads up.

Justmeron: maybe the guy posted you this fake shit whom you had business with last time, thats why he knew about your last transaction :D

It was weird. It was like a month later they knew when and what I purchased. I forwarded it to paypal and they verified it was a scam. Havent herd anything since that was over a month ago. But yeah I thought the same thing.

But i never understood how these people get away with scamming paypal, isnt everything traceable, i mean the money has to end up in someones bank account somewhere and those details are held with paypal !

Thanks for the warning, i had a guy try to scam me last night. http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo/3153-new-scammer-alert-must-read.html
