Paypal Requiring Tax ID Or SSN

Okay Tom I understand, I have been waiting days upon days to make my move I have just been so hesitant. If I do tax ID route from what I see is it asks me to confirm my first and last name (first name provided to paypal is phony) and my address which is my true address and has been used in the past. I want to make ABSOLUTE sure I do not get screwed with IRS. If I have provided the SSN in the past to paypal, can I proceed to do this Tax ID method? Or do I go ahead and pay $125 to file for business EIN (money not a issue), but in order to do so i HAVE to call Paypal in order to upgrade to a business account it seems. Again my main goal is to be slick and not on the radar at the same time not have ANY issues giving false information to IRS. So sorry for the repetitive questions I just want to be absolute sure what I am doing is the best option from those with experience, this should honestly be my last question with a follow up on results. Thanks in regards again!

So it looks like the Tax ID for me would be only used as a if I was a non-resident or a alien.... this was new to me. So that is totally out of the water. I have to do a EIN looks like that is final decision. I just don't know if a online business has to file with the state or just federal. IRS says something about new york, massachusetts and some other state. Nothing about ohio. Gosh this is all confusing mess...

Remember, for a non-single entity LLC or corporation, you don't have to provide your address to paypal/ebay, only someone who is legally authorized to receive mail for the corporation. The address of record for my eBay/Amazon LLC is some office is Cheyenne, Wyoming which has like 10,000 other businesses doing the same thing. Therefore they can't link me via that route.

Incorporation is state matter dealt with by Secretary of State. Google SoS for Ohio and they should have a link for registering corporation. The only federal things you have to do are to file for an EIN and start paying taxes when the corporation has revenue. There is a form that LLC itself files called form 1065, and your personal income tax returns much match what you declare on form 1065.
