PayPal required to sell on eBay now???

Well I used a VCC to verify my ebay sellers account today. After It successfully processed, a message pops up telling me I'm not allowed to sell until I have a verified PayPal linked to my account.

What the hell is up with this? I've had over 10 ebay accounts and never once have they asked for this.

you would need a pre- november 2007 account to sell with a merchant account and not paypal.
 
eBay is gay not only from a sellers point of view but from a buyers too. I never said you can't make money on eBay, I'm just saying it's gay.
 
ebay isnt gay, its straight....and thats the problem!
this is an old thread but it appears the op didnt really get an answer, so here it is.
open a stealth ebay account.
next, doctor your merchant account statement to appear to be at least 90 days old with a REASONABLE volume. fax that to ebay.
next, ebay will phone you within 24 hours (possibly same day) to chat you up (how long in business, where do you get inventory, WHY NOT USE PAYPAL, etc etc) be polite, have answers prepared, tell jokes.
if you pass this test, you can list without paypal. if you fail, they will say something like, while we review blah blah blah you must use paypal blah blah blah.

Yes, Ebay is gay thats why its called EGay. Its keeps suspending my accounts and freezing my funds. I give up on Egay and I will try on amazon.

Ebay is most definitely Gay. As the pussycat above me says, you can beat Ebay.
 
F**k eBay, got banned again today. Stupid person left bad feedback without contacting me first, and they instantly banned me.
 
Before when I make a ebay seller account it doesnt need bank account. Linking to verified paypal account was enough to list. Now my new ebay account cannot list unless I put my bank details. Even though I already link my premier paypal account to it. Anyone have experience like this now?

Means we have to keep our fingers crossed every time we r on eBay!:eek:
 
ebay with their foolishly high fees will die soon enough, ebay was once a startup, and another one will kill em good.
 
yeah i expereince that too linking my bank information even though my paypal account is already verified is this the new policy of ebay F*8 the what...what the F888
