My PayPal account has now been deactivated for more than 240 days.
I’ve sent them countless emails and PayPal chats demanding to release the funds and all they said is “due to reasons we cannot disclose, we can’t release your funds”

I have other accounts that already have funds released after 180 days(small accounts, 0-100$ in balance) so I assume the reason behind this bigger account is either due to
1. PayPal wanting to just hold the money as long as they can because they’re betting on whether I file a formal complaint or
2. I don’t have a bank or card linked, which is unlikely the reason because if that’s the case they’d just reopen the card system for me to link it.

Does anyone know how I can fix this and get the money back?

If they are still refusing after 240 days I would ask for the specific reason in writing and escalate the case through the official complaints process. Have you tried filing a formal complaint or contacting the financial regulator that oversees PayPal in your country?

Welcome to the club, PayPal is a legalized scam, there are thousands of cases like that, they just rob you and say fuck off if you cry

Using a nickname instead of your legal name can definitely make the situation more difficult If PayPal has permanently limited the account they may require the account holder details to match At this point your best option is probably to go through their formal complaints process and ask for a final written decision

PayPal rejecting your request is normal; many people encounter this situation. Your issue now is whether you can file a formal complaint and request a written decision. Do you have all the necessary documents?

I stopped looking once they blocked my $300 and said these will be release after 6 months. I literally forgot about them before seeing this post. Will check if i can retrieve the credentials somehow.

You simply have to follow the official written procedures; other methods do not appear to be effective.
