I sold my item on website, somebody sent me money via paypal, the thing is he used PayPal Mobile , means there is a paypal app in his phone, but after few hours, my account limited, I finally figured out that he paid me through a stolen paypal account, is there anyway that I can track the guy's phone number? or location?

I'd focus on getting my paypal account's restrictions lifted before anything else...

I would do the same. Call immediately to paypal rep to see how to resolve this. They will tell your further instructions. Go to the resolution center and call.

IF the normal rep doesn't help, call again and ask for a case manager, which is usually the backend of everything technical.

I suggest that you contact paypal about this dilemma. This is the first time that I heard of such case after using paypal for a long time. Hopefully, this incident will not discourage you from using paypal.

thanks guy. problems have been solved, but I want to dig this guy out, I just wondering is it possible or not to know his phone number if he logged on with his own iphone

Is this possible?
Your PayPal account can get limited suppose your buyer sends payment through a stolen PayPal?
How is this fair ?

you can contact paypal and also since he paid you there will be his information on the shipping details

Well, defaulty Paypal have frozen the funds as they are suspecting a money stealth which may be sent and received by the thief.

A verified account may avoid the limited step, but it wouldn't avoid the charge back.

This kind of situation happened to me twice on great amounts, and i lost 2 times the dispute after the delivery.

yes the fact that he sent you the payment through a stolen paypal account means paypal will limit your account for security reasons , i would recommend you to contact paypal directly to resolve this matter

You can not really ask PayPal for the other guys details, because they will not give you that. I know a case where there was a unfair dispute and the seller was trying to get the buyers credit card companys name, to call them and solve it, but paypal refuse to give it out.
And paying via mobile, i think he could be using that app just about anywhere with a wireless connection? I dont think his number shows anywhere, only the wireless connections IP address, which doesn't help at all I'm afraid.

I received the same problem with my ebay account, I list one item and anyone buy it. But ebay notice this buyer suppended and my ebay account suppend too. +_+

Paypal is Like a Old Lady just 1 wrong move like changing your address like 2 days after your account is created will get you locked out

Like somebody else said, lift your PayPal limits first before worrying if the funds are stolen or not. PayPal mobile is pretty legitimate, so you shouldn't consider that as a factor. Did you create this account as a new one? How large was the payment you took? These all contribute into why you got limited.

logging a ticket is the easiest way to resolve this issue instead.
