I have a question regarding paypal. I am a new user so I was thinking about this. Lets say I have $50 funds inside my paypal account. I have my bank account (No cc/debit)linked to paypal and my bank only has $100 in it.

Then I make a purchase of an item from ebay the worth $900 bucks. will the transanction go through? They will check if you have suffiecient funds first right.

The reason I ask is because I nearly did it, but i decided to check my bank balance first. i could have incurred overdraw fees if i did:(

nah it wont work, unless your bank will let you go that much overdrawn (some will)

As said above it won't work, pp looks at the account an see's there are not enough funds it won't even try and take it, it will just message you and tell you their are not enough funds.

I read from another forum that the process goes like this...
1.Paypal pays the seller.(doesnt check if you have sufficient funds in your bank account,as long as you have one linked)
2.Tries to get the money back from your bank account.

    You could try it.

several people told you it's not a good idea, but it seems like you want to try it anyway.

no.. i certainly dont want to try.. they'll charge me overdraw fees if i do.

I was just wondering.. i mean imagine if somebody purchased an item worth $10000...will paypal just pay for it even the account owner doesnt have the sufficient money in their paypal and bank accounts? or will paypal check first and wont let the transanction go though?
