So I've earned some money through paypal and now they have limited my account saying I have to explain how I got paid on my 5 latest transactions?? Honestly, I've got the payments through shoutouts on instagram and people have sent the money as "friends and family".
But this doesn't seem like the best answer to give them.. What do you think I should really respond?

Thanks

I don't even think they will ever do that and have never seen anyone encounter that issue are you sure that's the legitimate paypal website from your email because that is one major scamming channel.

I am pretty sure it's legimate. It is sent from "[email protected]" (i am from sweden). What it says specifically is: "We need to know in detail what service/product you are providing your customers. We also need to know what website/platform you are using for your sales"

Sounds very strange to me.. How do they even know I am providing a service when I get the payments as "friends and family"?

Login to your paypal account , check whether you have any notification , respond there not towards the Email.

the main problem is that the senders are neither your friends or family. they are customers. paypal saw through it, but will first warn you

Do you guys think they will withdraw the 5% for the service I use or will I keep my the money?

they won't. this is just a warning. but you will need to process your transactions as purchases from now on

A simple 5 minute call and some strategy, you would have this done already.

I've had my paypal limited before and in that case I had to show them my website where I was processing the sales, in your case I would just explain some friends sent you a few bucks you don't really need to go into theatrics over a few small payments they are cool enough on the phone if you keep your cool.

is not a big issue just call them and tell them they are my friend and family or client and i give them service and they pay me. they will ask u some question about your account to make sure it is your own account and it will be clear
