I have sold 50 yahoo answers to a person here using paypal. Today I get message from the paypal that,

You have received a payment that we believe may not have been authorised by
the PayPal account holder. Here are the details of the transaction we are
investigating:


They are asking shipping proof and all as i have sold yahoo answers what can do regaridng this.


I dont think buyer have charged back or filed a dispute.


What should i do in this case.


This is my important accoutn and right now its showing negative balance

Please help

I would explain to Paypal that you sold an online service & had no idea you were being paid from a stolen/hacked paypal : Just refund the money and move on,If your account is in the negative just make the money back the best you can - Thats about all you can do.

Yes. Do not explain what was sold. Just that you sold a digital service to someone.
If that buyer is using a hacked/fake account that is on them. I would double check as people use them online all the time...
Do not risk getting your acount banned because pp will do so without blinking twice....

Contact the buyer first of all and ask him his side of the story.

I have contacted buyer and explained them my situation and asked him to send message to paypal too, lets hope for the best

if the payment unauthorized is carried through only
then shit list the person with user name and profile
link.

if the payment unauthorized sticks then its done on the
users end by either paypal seeing something in the account
thats out of the ordinary,

or the user is using a stolen account

or the account does belong to the user but has used
the excuse he didnt pay to get your stuff and get
a refund.

but first wait and see and let us no what the user said
in response to your contact.

I have one more question its showing me that paypal withdrawl to bank is completed and my balance is negative, can paypal take money from my bank account?

I've had payments blocked from the receiver when I logged in from Jamaica.
Paypal didn't inform me and they also debited the money from my account
and showed it as processed.
I had to wait until I got back to the UK to clear it up.
