I have the USD set as the primary currency of my PayPal account, but I received a payment from my client in EUR. I asked him to send $50 to my PayPal, but I got a payment of €43.77 EUR. I'm from Slovakia and the currency in my country is EUR.

Do you know why am I receiving the payments in EUR even if my PayPal's primary currency is USD? I don't like this, because PayPal's conversion rate is not convenient and I prefer USD.

I'm pretty sure your client sent you EUR.

The sender has the option to send the money in a different currency.

Maybe they changed it from USD to EUR, or the default option is EUR and the sender didn't change it at all.

there is a setting somewhere where you make your base currency USD

No need to worry, just convert ur euro currency and set your default payment using USD, so next time, all payment will (convert) automatically in usd.

Good luck

Thank you guys for your replies. The sender sent the payment in EUR, but I asked him to send it in USD and he sent in USD, so it's OK now.
