PayPal Permanent Ban - What Happens And What Doesn't

PAST :

- I had a paypal account banned in last October , it had $448USD. After 6 months, I was only able to withdraw $63.41USD and no it's NOT because of the chargebacks because I didn't have any ever since the limitation. However, the deductions stated that it's because of " cost of damage to PayPal for violating acceptable use Policy. " ( This account was started October 2019, so I had a lot of transactions. )


CURRENTLY :


- I have 3 permanently limited paypal accounts for " violation of Acceptable Use Policy. " One of them has 219GBP, ,other has 149GBP and the other has 106GBP.




MY QUESTIONS :


- Question 1 : Would I ever end up with a negative balance for any of the 3 accounts I have?

- Question 2 : The cost of damage to paypal a percentage of the balance or a fixed amount or " it depends " and it depends on what? I don't want to end up with a negative balance.

- Question 3 : How can I settle it a negative balance and how much time do I have to settle it?

NOTE :

My paypal is african and it doesn't allow depositing from card to paypal balance, any transfers from my account to any other account are made via bank card balance, we can't basically " deposit " money to the account using any linked bank card, t's only via transfers from other paypal users ( maybe adding card to balance would be enabled if a negative balance arises? )

- Question 4 : Is it possible to settle a negative balance by asking a friend to send a payment to the negatively-balanced permanently limited paypal account, and would the account be able to accept payments even though it's limited just because it has a negative balance?

- Question 5 : Why does paypal delete the transactions history a month or two before the end of the 6-months ban? What value do these transactions have for them?

- Question 6 : Why am I still able to login to paypal even though my 1st paypal is permanently limited from 6 months and i already withdrew the money, what's the point of keeping the account live?


Question 7 : Are there any LEGAL complications for unsettled negative paypal balance and what are they and how would they reach out to me so that I keep the contact source active, and any other legal complications other than just having to settle a negative balance?

Yes, you can have negative balance on your PayPal account. They keep account alive because buyer have 180 days of protection.

Thank you for your attention. Mind answering the rest of the questions? Assuming I have no chargebacks, would I still end up with a negative balance? More than confident I won't have chargebacks because I always deliver my products & services.

If you don't get any chargebacks you won't have negative balance.
If I remember correctly you have 90 days to pay off the negative PayPal balance. You don't pay them they will send a letter and hire debt collector (never happened to me, usually they just send letters)

Whatever amount PayPal deducts due to acceptable usage policy violations, that can't turn the balance into negative. Don't worry. Worst case scenario: they take all the available balance, so you won't have anything to withdraw, when the 180 days grace period is over. There's no fixed amount for those violations, only a maximum, which is $2,500/violation.

So as it was mentioned above, if you won't have chargebacks, you won't have a negative balance.

You can still login to the accounts, because they're only limited, not banned. Limited accounts can be restored. You can also deactivate the accounts, if it bothers you, that they're still alive.

Legal complication of unsettled negative balance is debt collection as last step, but if you won't have a negative balance, it's a non-issue.

Thank you for reaching out and for being supportive. I have tried closing the paypal account, it keeps saying " there's an issue with your account, please contact us. "

Will message paypal and tell them I want to have the account closed and let's see if that works. Thank you once again!

You can’t close a PayPal account if its limited.

Why do you think you will end up with a negative balance?

Just thoughts, curious if ever happened. Even though high hopes it won't happen because didn't receive any chargebacks. But why would they keep the account?
 
I have loads of limited accounts over the years and never been charged by PayPal. Only had chargebacks paid out.

Why would it matter if the account is open or not as you can’t use it. I guess you used a VCC for it so you can’t get charged even if it does go negative.
