Paypal payment Alternative for a high earning website?

Hey guys,

I am in the process of acquiring a website that has a revenue of ***** per year. Basically, it's a dropshipping website. The items listed for sale are well over $1000. Now, the problem here is that I am based in India and paypal have placed a restriction of $500 per transaction. Now, I am really scared investing all my money on this website because if I change the payment method to moneybookers or something else, chances are that I might loss half the revenue or even more because most shoppers prefer to pay via Paypal?

Is there any checkout facility or some kind of payment process that will accept payment through their paypal and then send it to me after deducting their fees or something of that sort. Any suggestion on this matter would be hugely appreciated because I don't want to miss this deal.

Thanks, but I am still wondering about the $500 Paypal limit. Won't it serve as as hurdle. Any idea? I am also in the process of contacting Plimus. Seems like they have a problem with their contact form. It just replies too short question. I typed over 300 words and more but the same message.
 
Use two or three (whatever needed) buttons to combine to your total purchase price and tell your customers it's paypal's "$500.00" limit, etc.

i.e. - 1 @ $499.00 (part 1) - 1 @ $499.00 (part 2) - 1 @ $282.00 (part 3) = $1,280.00 total :thumb:

Just explain to them they have to make multiple purchases to equal the total, etc.

What about the possibility of getting your own merchant account? I don't know what the requirements are for one in India, but it might be worth looking into.

EDIT: Only just read your comments about shoppers wanting to pay with PayPal, so my posts kind of invalid :).
 
Plimus acts as a reseller so basically they pay Plimus and Plimus pays you; therefore a limit imposed on your country would not be an issue I wouldn't think as Plimus is US based.

Google checkout is pretty solid - offers protection and what not too.
 
thanks for the info so far, however I thought Plimus was just for software/ ebook related items----digital items

If the OP is buying site that sells physical items can Plimus still be used?

any help appreciated
