I just found out about an hour ago, that paypal can now be used on some websites that use the Epoch Billing System.

We are pleased to announce the expansion of PayPal to our payment pages for all Epoch clients. You can now accept PayPal from consumers in the U.S., Europe and throughout the world. This exclusive offering stems from our successful pilot program operated in Europe over the past year, the results of which greatly exceeded the expectations of both PayPal and Epoch. PayPal's iconic presence on our payment pages adds strength and exceptional brand recognition, especially in regions less likely to use credit cards. It is also ideal for swift mobile purchases or for surfers who prefer more anonymity.

I'm surpised it has taken paypal so long to decide to be okay with adult sites when they have had a very large industry for years.

From 2001 to 2007, Internet porn went from a $1-billion-a-year industry to $3-billion-a-year
in the U.S.

Downside is you have to partner with Epoch and pay their fees for visa and mastercard processing on top of their fines. That brings your entry level to billing to around 1500 bucks.

But being able to get more clients since many persons don't use debt or credit cards can benefit many sites.

Cool, know I can pay for real porn with Paypal. I guess I dont have to go chaturbate to see live porn anymore.

There are loads of free shows on mfc, one doesn't need to go premium on it unless they want to actually chat in most rooms.

I did some research on paypal, and it seems that they are trying to stop other digital wallet companies from overtaking them as well as get more of the market share used by credit and debit cards.

79% of the 2,000 U.S. online consumers surveyed in June 2014 stated to have used Paypal in the past, whereas only 40% have used the second most popular service Google Wallet.

33% of U.S. consumers prefer paypal instead of other payment methods when shopping online.

I wouldn't be surpised that in 2016 or 2017 paypal decides to work directly with adult sites instead of using Epoch and other payment processors as a middle man. Just last year paypal was banning webcam models after finding out they were taking payments for cam shows with paypal.

Update: I just bought a premium account on MFC using paypal and it went through, so it wasn't like some kind of display error.

Watch this space. Its a market thats huge beyond words (and growing), and there are plenty of entrants coming out of the woodwork. Its ripe for a shakeup - and the net beneficiary will be the users :)
God I love capitalism.

Hopefully the next thing is a stoppage on how easy it is for an account to be frozen, then totally ending of all prohibited transactions besides illegal activity.

X-Art is now openingly advertising that you can use paypal to order their subscription service. They've probably been doing it for a few weeks now, I just never came across their website recently until today.

hi, **this is just my thought/option**

I do not believe PayPal has changed there policy's and are now allowing adult content.

Epoch has basicly found a loop hole in Paypal policy, when I read there policy it was bland just listed services that was against Paypal terms of service *Adult Content*

So if you were to use PayPal to sell credits from your adult based website then that would be violation of paypal terms, HOWEVER....
Epoch is a completely different website / media. Epoch is a payment processing service/site.
So when adult sites that use Epoch the visitor is taken from the adult website to epoch website, then they would be redirected to paypal for payment. Epoch site didn't sell the customer adult content, what they sold that customer was digital download content (just a thank you email)

So basicly if you setup another website on a different domain - that sold electronic Gift Cards (voucher numbers) after purchase the customer would get an email of there purchase along with a voucher number and link the customer clicks on the link it then passes that voucher number through the URL to a webpage on the adult site which then auto adds credits to the customers account

* i have made this on my modenacam adult cam site.
