Hi people,

PayPal limited my account permanently - i had it as a payment method in my shop. They didn't explain me why they limited me but they did.

If i create a new PayPal account under some other's name or just new documents, whatever, am I able to accept PayPal payments on the same website? Or if a payment comes in via that website I will be limited in an instant? Do they blacklist domains or something? If so, any workaround?

They can be limited instantly? It depends. We've been doing like that. But sooner or later PayPal will somehow catch up or 'link' your previous suspended accounts. Best is to setup the stealth account properly, so to avoid linking.
Any workaround? Is it possible if you can just use other payment gateways? like stripe, etc.

Stay away from paypal because they can just suspend and terminate without notice.

well as a seller you cannot completely "stay away" from paypal, since 85% of customers prefer to pay that way.

i use paypal to recieve payment, and my accounts has been limited due chargeback and change accounts several times, i dont think they blacklisting domain

So You have PayPal as a payment method on website, got limited, made a new one and continue receiving payments on same domain?

Yes domain is blacklisted, even if people say its not it's definitely a link to your old account. Accept payments from new domain.

Well the reason I am asking is my shop is already 2 years old and domain is known to customer, so if there's a chance it wont be automatically linked due to domain address, i would try it out.

They'll catch up eventually. Maybe try a different payment processor such as Stripe.

I've gotten domains blacklisted, and I got an email from PayPal saying "We've blacklisted X domain, you'll never be able to use PayPal on this domain again" (in different wording). If you didn't get that, I'd try to use PayPal again.

I do have credit card payment option aswell, but customers want PayPal. Lost multiple orders due to missing PayPal already.

Didn't receive such mail. Only was told You are never able to register a new paypal account with same bank details etc.

Do not use paypal, this is not a viable solution for any business.

hi, bit late to this but have a question in regards to this post.

in the same situation as op, but i used woocommerce to accept paypal payments. Can paypal still link my domain via woocommerce or do they not see my domain when processing through woocommerce. Thanks

Gaypal should really have a way to check this. Its ridiculous to have a domain blacklisted, not know it, and lose your account over it.

I mean, what if you registered a domain that somebody else used to own and got blacklisted on gaypal? Why should you suffer the ultimate punishment (permanent suspension) though no fault?

First don’t try to open PayPal using same browser or app you used before without cleaning the history cache,it’s not advise to use same name in getting a new business PayPal since the first you got is just limited for a while

Its not limited for a while, is it? Its limited forever.

I also got banned by paypal and made a few new accounts and accpted payments from the same domain but after a few days all accounts were limited again and paypal kept my money for 180 days. So i think there is no chance to use paypal any longer when u once got banned. If anyone got a solution for that problem please let me know too.

When the 180 days pass your account is still limited.

When they send you an email to tell you that you are suspended, they tell you that you are Permanently suspended.

Yes. The only thing is that they let you transfer your money to your bank account after 180 days and don't hold it anymore. Your account will definitely stay limited permanetly. And if you open a new account on your name for the same business they will limit it after a few days too.
