paypal limitation question

I hope someone can help on what to do.... so long time ago a roomate opened a paypal account using my email and im not sure probably he provided my address. He left like 6 years ago and today i receive an email saying someone tried to access to his account and he needs to change password and security questions, he has never used thisaccount theres no balance. My question is since i have a real paypal account....
a. Will my account get limited if he used the same address? Its been 3 weeks since he was asked to change password and sec questions.
b. What if he doesnt care for the email and doesnt change password and sec questions? Will i be affected? I dont know the accounts password.
I have never tried to login to his account so i dont think they are linked by ip...

Call Paypal and explain to them the story. Have them make a note on your account about it. I have found them to be understanding in times of bullshittery.
