I am looking into people who have had their business damaged by Paypal.

Here's my paypal horror story: Apirl 27 account Lock or limits is what they call it ...
Limits means I can do nothing on my paypal account cannot
accept payment or give payments.

My business is based on paying people for blog reviews and receiving payment from advertiser to get blog reviews.

Paypal does not even care to speak with you about anything .
I call and those people say we have nothing to do with that part of account being in limits ...

So guess what more dispute keep popping up everyday ..

I email Paypal are you guy stupid ? (Understand after 5 phones call to them and 15 emails wthout help I am loosing my cool ) The dispute I tell Paypal are because you locked my account and cannot pay these people..

OH! my whole business is dead my site is down because the host was paid by paypal. The last dispute said he heard we were out of business !!!

Lawsuit against paypal for damages ??? I got one piece of info from paypal that all this was because someone purchased with a fraud credit card ?
What that's our fault ?

So tell me anyone felt the paypal pain ?

If you're serious about doing business online, get a merchant account and process your own payments. Unless you can put together a massive class action suit against eBay/PayPal, you're peeing in the wind.

Paypal & Ebay TOTALLY ruined me! I had sales of over $20,000 every 2 weeks!

GONE STR8 DONE THE DRAIN!!!!! In less than 1 week!:jaw:

Held MY money in THEIR bank accounts drawing interest!

Can't get my money!
Can't make payments or receive payments!:bsflag:

Thank God Most of my customers were understanding,
some not so understanding, though!

I have a merchant account now but I don't think I can get
back to were I was!

:spank:Paypal & Ebay:rocketwho

Sorry to hear that. I don't think you have any chance against a big company like that either. Unless you are rich. It's just the way it works in most countries.

IS there anywhere to find something to replace Paypal type service ?

When you say merchant account can you explain more ?

Like who you use to set this up ?

Also the great thing about paypal was the easy of paying people
automaticly without having to worry about doing it myself ...

There is a GREAT new alternative to PayPal!

They give you $25 just for signing up! They send it immediately, I
got mine I think the same day!

I also got FREE setup with a merchant account,
click here to get setup FREE!

Instead of complaining, what is the reliable merchant recommend?

I personally like google checkout. I sell a $40 product and only pay $1 in fees to them for each one that I sell. For my offline business I use charge.com to accept credit cards. I left paypal for similar reasons...locking accounts, holding funds, etc... It really sucks that in spite of all the problems and the risks that people still use them. I refuse to get an account with them so I can't get some of the subscription based products out there.

Paypal's transaction fees are actually really high too when you sell through them.

The problem with using another service is the reputation that they have built up. I think google checkout can compete with paypal reputation wise. They just can't support a subscription based business and you have to use a third party to facilitate the storing of your database of customers. I use e-junkie.com for that.

Have you tried google checkout?

At times like these, you can stick with clickbank and the likes ... at least you know you'll get your money (sure, the fees is high ..)

Um...switch to alertpay.com or safepaysolutions.com

Or use clickbank.

There are others besides paypal, my friend.

I still use them, as I have a full fledged business account with them that's always in good standing...

But like I said...Paypal is not the only fish in the sea, friend.

I got fucked myself. My account has been limited for about 2 months now. I just said fuck it and refunded everyone to gain my access back. But, instead of PayPal refunding the balance from my PayPal account they go straight for my checking and my account is still limited. I was on and off the phone with PayPal this morning for about 3hrs. The support assistant was polite but she wants me to call the bank and asked them to cancel the transaction... But, I still have to go through some bs process to get my account not from being limited

So, basically I am out $1.2k from my checking and $760 from my PayPal balance. Fucking bullshit...
