I verified one of my paypal accounts by doing the 2-3 day deposit.
They deposited 23 cents total in my account they've always left it before, but they debited it back out. Lol
Their either hurting that bad or getting even cheaper. haha
Just thought I'd share and see if others were getting the same.

LOL...thats hilarious. The economy is hitting everyone I guess.

Haha. Here is good tip too. You can use Freshbooks.com to send your invoices through Paypal, and they only charge a $.50 flat rate on all transactions. Only works with people who have Paypal accounts though. Can save some people a lot of money that do a lot of PP transactions.

Someone did that with google and made 6k or something in a few months. They made thousands of accounts. They got off with it. Someone else did it with stock trading accounts. It might be the reason they now take back the 23 cents.

Only works for US businesses though, they left us out... PaySucks..

Well we can safely admit that PP has 10million of users with a bank account :)

23 cents is a strict $2.3M loss which is freakily huge at that scale

LOL...thats sound hilarious. I am glad to hear that it works for you. Please can you tell me what type of online bank did you use to deposit and verified on your paypal accounts?

Why the hell wouldn't they take back the money? it adds up over millions of account, they'd be stupid not to.

so google allowed them to use the same bank account over thousands of checkout accounts? smells fishy to me.

And why not take the 23 cents back? if theres thousands of accounts created daily, why lose that money?

Yeah really.

I doubt a few cents is going to make a difference for you, but it does make a difference for them when looking at the larger scale.

So does it mean Paypal is going to increase the limited account Soon !! Paypal is Just like voldemort, This is always huge but when you deal with it, You know who is always going to win.xxx

I am sure they finally figured out that people were abusing it and making money off them (versus them making money off of everybody else) and they didn't like it...LOL. I could never understand why they didn't take the money back before. It didn't really make sense.

I went to find the article. It was the same person, took 50k from etrade, then 8k from google. He is in trouble, but it looks like google did not go after him. Its also from 2008.

A May 7 Secret Service search warrant affidavit says Largent tried the same thing with Google?s Checkout service, accumulating $8,225.29 in eight different bank accounts at Bancorp Bank.
When the bank asked Largent about the thousands of small transfers, he told them that he?d read Google?s terms of service, and that it didn?t prohibit multiple e-mail addresses and accounts. "He stated he needed the money to pay off debts and stated that this was one way to earn money, by setting up multiple accounts having Google submit the two small deposits."
The Google caper is not charged in the indictment.

Can you deposit the 23 cents to your account right away? I'd do that just out of principle..

.. i guess that kind of attitude got me into IM :p

I opened an account recently and was refunded within a few hours?
Maybe just lucky...

by paypal pulling the funds back they are now able to see the owners name of the bank account. Another way for paypal to limit your account. Goodluck
