PayPal is closing social media services?

It was a few months ago after I read this and withdrawn almost all paypal balance just in case.
Since then was trying to keep balance as low as possible.

This month received some large payments and got account banned (closed).

Just warning you guys to be careful with paypal selling social media services.
Does anyone knows any alternatives of accepting paypal (or cc) payments for social media services (accounts, proxies, software)?

It wasn't too hard to identify in OP's case. He used it as a payment gateway on his site, where the type of the business is clearer than the sun. It can be that the payment sum in itself triggered a manual review. Also, when people pay, they can leave a note, i can imagine PayPal can filter this and if the notes contain keywords of non-supported activities, they take a closer look. And yes, people, competitors can report you too.
 
same here, My business paypal got banned for selling social media services. tho personal is still working.
 
For people selling instagram account, it can be the same destiny ?
I hope I won't loose my paypal account...
im only get paid as Good and service or invoice
 
My main PayPal got banned too without reasons, Paypal is literally shit.
 
It's unknown whether the info in the linked thread is true. There's no actual source for it, apart from OP's claims.

Are you sure that you got banned due to selling social media services and not because of something else? Maybe you had too many disputes or received payments mostly as f&f?
 
Hm that’s interesting because i had just won a dispute a few days ago in which i told paypal I was selling social media services, showed images and proof and everything and not only did my account stay open, but I won the case as well.
 
Yes , they are closing paypal accounts related to social media services , or digital products. paypal doe not favor that kind of business anymore because it is considered "High risk" all of my paypal accounts have been shut down smh

No, not for digital products.. a good portion of their business is based on digital products. It's regarding social media services, most of these service break said platforms TOS, and they also deal with alot of problems with account sales as people sell accounts and they sometimes no longer work, and buyers want their money back. It's a tricky business having to be the middle man between that.

This isn't surprising though, PayPal been screwing over people, this isn't anything new. It's just so many people use PayPal, you lose ou on alot of business if you don't use them.
 
Are the people getting shut down due to selling actually Instagram accounts or follower/like related?

OP's site is related to selling accounts which I'm sure Paypal would shut down.
