PayPal India, problem after GST implementation

Hi,
I was able to receive payment before 1 November. But I am not able to receive payment now.
One guy was trying to send me a small amount (10-30 bucks), But he encountered this error.


"This recipient accepts PayPal payments only through their website. To complete this payment, please go to their website and follow their instructions, or email the recipient for instructions".

Paypal rules sucks, this is what i got after GST

wtf...how we supposed to receive money. it was already difficult enough and now this.
 
So now individuals can't receive money through paypal??

Did you create an individual account or business account?

I have personal account. I was able to able payment for 2 months mostly 10-20 dollar payment (max 100 dollars per month)

ps- Should i upgrade my account ? (I don't have website, and only need to accept max 100-120 dollars per month)
 
I think personal account is the issue as i have business account and I am still able to recieve payments without any issue. I think you should ask Paypal regarding this they will surely help you out.
 
Dont know whats happening.

Try invoicing them and ask them to pay for the invoice.
 
You can try switching the Personal account to a Premier one, that can be done without any hassle. If that doesn't work, you might need a Business account or you can also try E-junkie, create a Cart or Buy Now button and ask your client to purchase/send you the money using that.
 
Yap, its true paypal would charge 18% for every transition.
As a result small business would suffer a lot.
Hope 2019 would be better

Not sure someone just shared about the same and he has a business account.
 
I received reply from paypal

'Thank you for contacting PayPal Customer Support. My name is --------- and I am happy to assist you with your concern.

We have found a system error that is affecting multiple PayPal accounts, your account seems to have been affected as well, resulting in your account experiencing errors when payments is being sent to it. This is a know issue that we are currently working to fix. please give us within 24-48 hours, and this issue should be resolved.'

Same problem here. I have a business account and cant even create invoices.
