Hi guys,

I want to use paypal as a way to accept payments online, but I'm being hit with a 21.5% fee for every transaction. Is there any good way to avoid such a large transaction fee with paypal or do I have to change how I accept my payments?

Cheers

21.5%? How can that be? Standard PayPal fees are 2.9% + $0.30.

Yeah Thats The Fees Paypal Charges

That can't be right bro. Check over that percentage again.

If you're paying 21% in fees you're probably selling something under $1?

If you tell your customers to send money as services you dont pay fees! I know this for payments of 100-200-300$ i dont know if its the same for bigger prices!
:)

Receive payments

International payments (outside India):
2.9% + $0.30 USD to 3.9% + $0.30 USD

You made a typo on the %? Else you need to contact paypal...LOL

In addition to the regular fees you can get hit on exchange ratios. However 20% spread could be only on a very rare currencies.

D.

Ah k, well my service is $2 so it's the $0.30 bit that's hurting me.

are you sure it wasn't someone posing as paypal sent you that to rip you of your money?

There is some thing wrong i have a business account in PayPal and fees is : 4.9%+0.30$
