Paypal/ebay question

Okay so like you know when you sell something on ebay. And then you ship it...you always have to have like tracking info or else the guy can be like "I never got my item, even though you did send it."

So like if I send someone a box of tissues and give them tracking info...would paypal side with me if someone opened up a case and say "omg he gave me a box of tissues...I bought nikes from him."

And I can be like "nope, I gave him the shoes just like he ordered. see the tracking info I gave you?"

And paypal will be like oh yeah I see tracking info + delivered at correct address. "You get to keep their money."

And I basically sold a box of tissues for 120 bucks and all that happened was that I got negative feedback on ebay.

Is this how it works. I mean does paypal side with you if you send an item with tracking info?

I have thought about this too several times. Paypal usually always sides with buyers. But if you provided a tracking number and said it had the shoes I am not sure how they could prove you didn't. I would assume they would just go with the " not as described" excuse and still refund the buyer. They seem to also refund the buyer pretty much regardless

wow seriously? then I should just buy stuff and complain "item not as described" keep item and money lol

Well if paypals gonna make it that easy might as well be me doing the scamming rather than someone else scamming me.

Paypal will side with the buyer 99% of the time, the only way you would win a situation like this if the buyer stopped responding to Paypals demands of information, after the dispute is filed.

I'm going to tell you right now, put guidelines in your auctions saying you won't sell to anyone with a 25 and under feedback, make it strict so you don't have this problem. Scamming people purposely without even given them a product (even if it was fake shoes) is all bad on your part.

Like I said though, you'll lose this case 99% of the time, Paypal/eBays structure depends on buyers, not the seller. If nobody trusts the platform, they would be done for.

If you're going to scam, do it with a little bit of class and give the person a worthy tangible.

Also If you're asking this question, I'm assuming you are not using stealth accounts, so you will ultimately lose in the end. Good luck.
