Paypal/Ebay auto-refund issue confirmed

I've now received 2 payments that had been automatically reversed/refunded back to the buyer without my knowledge, consent, or action. I called paypal to find out what was wrong. They told me that the issue is with ebay and they are working on it. What happens is a buyer will purchase your item off ebay, and send you the payment. Paypal receives it and confirms it, but moments later, it will automatically be refunded back to the buyer for no reason. The buyer never cancelled or requested a refund, nor did I, the seller, issue any refund. It just happened automatically by itself.

Paypal confirmed to me that it's something to do with ebay side and they are working on it. I asked if other people have reported this issue and they said some. Has anyone else experienced this yet?
This was the 2nd time in the past 2 months I have experienced it where someone bought my ebay item, made payment (it was immediate payment required) but no ebay notification of a sold item, yet paypal confirms receipt of payment. Then it's automatically refunded back to the buyer.

Some of you might remember I reported about this a month or so back, and it was unresolved. Looks like I found out why. I hope they fix this!

hahaha! I hope not! I think that in any business, once you start doing a lot of volume, you'll eventually run into all kinds of bumps and ruts along the road.
I'm learning a lot as I go along, and so far it's been a good learning experience. I want to upgrade my store to Premium and start moving even more volume
but I'm worried that it will also mean more chances of having issues.

It probably will. But do the pros outweigh the cons?

I definitely ask that question all the time. At some point, there should be a threshold where the gains are no longer optimum and the extra
troubles is just not worth it. I'm searching for that middle ground now.....somewhere between basic store and premium store I should think
(for a seller who doesn't use any programs, softwares, automation stuff, cuz I dont know the first thing about those). I do everything manually,
1 transaction at a time, 1 listing at a time, I list and relist, modify, add descriptions 1 by 1 to over 200 listings and I manually email, message each buyer one by one lol. Nothing automated, everything manually!
