I don't know who are all experienced this.. but I had today.. . One guy ordered my BHW GIG last week and the work has been done 27th(on time). While checking my paypal on the very next morning, I got a notification of that guy filed dispute(unauthorized payment) and I'm not aware the reason why he did this. As I explained everything to Paypal as its non-physical good and all screen shots about the deal sent.

Paypal just reversed the payment and the reason is they cant do anything against the unauthorized payments. After the discussion of 20 mins over by phone, they asked 24 hours time to check this issue. by today morning.. they called me while i was in deep sleep and apologized for the inconvenience and returned $xxx to my account. I thought that reversed payment was made by that client but later I came to know Paypal has sent me $xxx for inconvenience happened..

One of the best customer care services I've ever seen. :greddy2: :drinking2

Wow, I've never heard of anything like this happening before. Maybe Paypal is changing their ways or maybe it's just a hiccup. Either way, I'm jealous. lol

That is a really, really rare thing, enjoy it bro! : ))

I got $10 Paypal support refund me as courtesy in last 2 years. I think their employee have certain right to refund.
Anyway I wouldn't appreciate it at all. In their system I suggest them to let seller know where is the source of fund either cards or Paypal balance but no answer at the end.

the thing is they don't solve digital claims anymore... so if you sell something in digital form the receiver of the service can claim anything he wants. they're just gonna hold your money for 2-3 days and then mark the claim as resolved and return your money :)

this has been added to their ToS and they actually inform you of this when making a payment

I beg to differ about the virtual claim not being able to win.

Last I knew, if someone filed unauthorized charge with their CC company, paypal is pretty much screwed.

Huge loop hole in the laws on that.
My sis constantly lets people use her CC because she is disabled and cant get around much, and then she forgets and when she gets her account info in the mail, she calls her bank claims she didnt authorize said charges and they reverse them for her.

I lost my main paypal over this shyt, she had loaned me $300, then over a month later filed a dispute with her bank, and paypal automatically sided with the bank, it put me -$300, and I already paid her back, soz I just let the account rot and made a new one.

Its a huge loophole, all you have to do is find a bank that has the account protection thing, pay extra for it, spend your money, then file dispute and get it back, My sis has done it well over 30 times, she constantly buys shyt from infomercials and don't even remember doing it.

She has full medicare health and the dumb bitch paid for some lame insurance thing she didn't even use, for over a year, and got every cent back.

paypal needs to step up the game in this, IMO.

sorry for going off topic.

congrats on the win OP
