I was talking to a friend yesterday about disputes, well he seemed to think that if you have too many disputes your account can get blitzed, is this the case, the reason I ask is because I seem to have a fair few disputes - and I either refund a.s.a.p or if I think they are in the wrong I just let paypal sort it out.

The question is how many disputes will upset paypal enough to close accounts.

They almost never, I had hundreds of transaction with a few claiming to dispute the transactions

Its sad but Paypal usually will take peoples word without going into much detail and usually lets the account go (I'm talking transactions under $10)

Now if its hundreds of dollars it could be different

Closing your account is really extreme, and I suppose you get warnings first. Be careful what you buy, disputes are bad for your paypal reputation. So in the future, they may take the other party's side if you have too many.

I am in current situation, sold a product on ebay, sent it first class (not recorded though) and buyer is saying they aint recieved goods so my funds have been pulled from paypal. Just really sucks and is annoying as its not my fault and in essense i have lost all that money as paypal will always side with buyer

depending on the price of the item, you need to send with delivery confirmation to avoid this. so your shipping cost should include that.
