Paypal denied payments

I heard about that, was just convenient for the start. Wanted to look for a new one along the way anyway but I guess its better to go with another one straight away.
I know that you want to use paypal to accept only credit cards to avoid the chargebacks but one thing , paypal does not trust transactions from cards specially if yr acccout new and does not have any transaction history , the first 1 or 2 transactions and you will get banned .....

Im not really too worried with chargebacks, paypal was just one of the bigger processors that doesnt have my niche on the restricted list. I know there is quite a few more which I can use for my niche, they are just a bit more "difficult" to set up since I have to do my own api integration. But most processors have detailed instructions on how to do that I think, so I will figure it out somehow. Thank you for the tip though!

Hey guys,

maybe someone experienced that before and has a solution for me. First off....fuck paypals support, they are completly useless.
So I have a paypal advanced checkout (credit card payments, without the need to have a paypal account) integrated into my gravity forms. Payments from customers get all denied by paypal. Back and forth with the customer support and technical support and they just keep saying its part of their suspicious payments system that denies payments which might be not legit. So I researched on my own for days on end, found out one thing that could trigger that is that I didnt collect information like the adress from the customer which then gets send to paypal via the api, so i changed that. Now I did some testing with live payments with my own cards (cards are not connected to paypal in any way) and it was finally working. Well now it was working with € as currency (product on my website is declared in euro) but I want it to be dollars. Changed it to dollars and voila not working again, everything gets denied by paypal. Support said it has nothing to do with the currency. Self test again....currency set to dollar, payment denied, changed the currency back to euro and it works (in a matter of 5min between these two test payments with the same card). Currency in my business paypal account is set to dollar (primary) and euro (secondary). Dont know what to do anymore and i am about to look for a different payment processor which works for my niche. Or is it normal that paypal denies quite a lot of payments?
Your best bet is to change your payment processor cos if you continue with paypal, a lot of other issue are still going to arise, more especially when some money is in the account.

I will suggest stripe, wise, 2checkout, authorize.net, etc

Stripe does not support my niche and authorize is not possible in my country. You are the second one who recommends wise to me. Its not a real payment processor though right? Do you have experience with them?

They are not payment processors but you can use them to receive payments. So by using the, you will be manually processing your payments. Is this something you are willing to go for?

Might be an option! I will look into it, thank you :)
