Hi everyone,

My PayPal account was limited/closed after IPTV-related payments. PayPal says I can withdraw my balance after 90 days, but I’ve heard some cases take 180 days or never.

Has anyone had the same situation? Did you actually get your funds back, and what reason did PayPal give?

Also, I still have the option to refund some people. Should I start refunding now or wait? Could refunds affect the release of the remaining balance? I’m asking because refunding might let me recover about 50% sooner.

Thanks.

Never had such issue with PayPal, but from what I read, one is basically helpless in such situation; they will do whatever they want. So refunding will be safer option for you, even if it later turns out, you could avoid it.

You'll always face this issue if you continue to sell IPTV with PayPal. You'll have to find a high risk payment processor and cloak your website

Yes, you will get your funds back but as Proxy Cake said, you need to find a payment processor that will not be bothered or a service provider that can help you "hide" what you are actually selling. Renting a gateway is always an option

PayPal treats IPTV as high copyright risk, so once flagged it’s usually a permanent shutdown, not a temporary hold. The 90–180 days is just them holding funds in case of chargebacks, refunds may lower disputes, but they won’t speed up the release automatically

We can help you out with getting back your PayPal account, we have an account manager in case interested!

Have had an issue with PayPal when they decided to close the account and hold over $10k for 180 days. It took us a heck lot of time to try appealing the decision unsuccessfully and then get a cheque from them mailed to the office. Lesson: stay away from PayPal

This also happened with me also I received around $250 payment and suddenly my account got freezed without clear reason and No clue to how to withdraw them

did you use any plugin on PayPal additionally? to hide your real project

PayPal's always been strict with high-risk businesses like IPTV, and once they flag you, it's tough to get back in their good books. I've seen cases where people tried to appeal and got nowhere, so it's likely you're out of luck with getting your account reinstated. Refunding customers might help with chargebacks, but it won't speed up the release of your funds - it's just PayPal's way of covering themselves. What you should be focusing on is finding a more reliable payment processor that can handle high-risk transactions, and we've got some good alternatives that can help you out. It's a pain to deal with, but it's a good opportunity to diversify your payment options and reduce your reliance on PayPal.

What options?

They sometimes return money and sometimes held it. Make sure to record all conversations digitally.
