So I'm about to start developing my first E-commerce site, and I decided to stick with Paypal over stripe. I'm just curious to hear what most customers prefer at checkout whether it's staying on the site or being redirected to paypal.

I want customers to feel as comfortable as possible. To me redirects have that peace of mind vs convenience trade-off. But Paypal redirects have been around for so long that it may be more generally accepted now and less of an inconvenience.

Another option of course would be to take care of the paypal transaction in an smaller iFrame.

The domain will have SSL regardless, so I can always do paypal direct payments. The only drawback is that it's a new company and business, so people may be more cautious about entering their credit card information.
But those are just some general thoughts. I'd like to hear what you guys do or what has worked for you in the past.
