Hi guys,

Recently I got work done by a freelancer on BHW and he did not do any work for me at all even though I have him 2 weeks extension. I reported him to scammers list but realised he was already banned before the mods could look into this.

What I did was a charge back to my bank saying someone else authorised this transaction and I received my money back. I am looking to hire another freelancer on another forum, I am going to send him money through by paypal with money funded from by credit card, my question is if this freelancer also tries to scam me what should I report to my bank? Shall I say I did not authorise this transaction and someone else hacked my paypal account and sent the money?

Just want to be safe as I am going to be sending a lot of money for this work.

Thanks

if its big amount go for escrow or Use freelancer site to be on safe side , If you keep filing chargebacks paypal will limit your account.

It's not going to be huge huge, roughly $500. 50% upfront rest after completion. I have never done a chargeback only did one last week.

I contacted my bank and they gave me the money back, however I also opened a paypal dispute and they refused??
However bank sent me my money, any ideas how this can happen?

I am planning to sned the money via paypal funded through my CC.

I will use another IP address and if the seller trys to scam me I will say it was a un-authorised transaction, is that okay?

Thanks

$500 is a quite a lot money too, I suggest you use escrow service. Much more easier than a chargeback and scammers wont do it, so you probably save a lot of time too.
