So paypal apparently doesn't like large streams of income piling in and as a result is now asking me for my SSN or threat limitation.

Say I change the paypal address on my ebay listings towards a friends newly created paypal, Would the process restart or am I risking ban?

note currently ebay/paypal in my official name
if I update
paypal will be friends
ebay will remain mine

You will undoubtably raise a red flag. Your current PayPal account is Linked to your eBay account. When you add a new PayPal account to an already linked eBay account, it raises red flags for multiple reasons.

Do you mind if I ask why you do not want to submit your SSN to them? I personally don't either.

Submit your SSN and pay your taxes. If you attempt to circumvent, they will eventually find out and IRS will find out either way. Easier to be legitimate and not limit the amount of profit you can make.

Well do not change any information or add another PayPal account to your eBay Account.
This will raise red flags which is not good in your situation or any for that matter. You might want to
consider submitting your SSN number since it is really in your name. However if your doing something
where you do not care for submitting your SSN then I would advise you to acquire a stealth account.

Hello,

1. If this is a stealth account, transfer the funds to a safe account (your personal PayPal account) first, in order to make sure that the funds won't escape.

2. If this is not a stealth account, and this is in fact your personal account, what type of account is it? i.e. Personal, Premier, Business?

3. If it is a Personal account, most likely you will have to submit an SSN in order to get verified.

4. If it is a Premier or Business account, you can apply for an EIN and request PayPal to use that instead of your SSN.

Hope this helped.
