Hey all

So I have been using my stealth account just fine for few months now.

All of a sudden, paypal limited my account permanently as I am a "security risk". I called and fought them out and they said they can reinstate my account. They just had some products in question which I was selling on eBay and asked me to provide a couple of invoices/bills to support the proof of purchase and show that I got them from an authorized party.

Now the problem is while what I sold is very much genuine, my source isn't an authorized seller.

How do I tackle this problem? Where can I get these documents from? I tried to find out the authorized resellers and possibly get their invoice format or something so I can photoshop and send it across to these guys. Will that be legit enough to prove my case? Or could they possibly contact this authorized reseller and verify with them?

What other options do I have...?

You could try and photoshop the invoices and if they check you could just deny and say that this is the way you got your invoice but you would risk losing your account and the funds. I would suggest trying to find an authorized dealer for the products and getting in touch with him and see if you could work something out, in the end all you need are a couple invoices

I heard similar case from one of my friends where his account was limited for "security issues" a few days back.
He was asked for his documents and he provided them with government issued ids, utility bills etc. Then he was asked for his bank statement and the limit was removed.
However it took almost 3 weeks after submission for the account to be active again.

PP will nt be able to tell a fake invoice copy from a real one. I don't think they care much, and anyway, PP and also ebay tell you to hide/black-out the identity labels so just black-out the important identity-related labels including the phone details on the PS'ed invoice and send them the fax or email attachment. They may say 'OK the docs are fine' in most cases. :) Make sure the items: name, dates and qty, prices etc match. Your fake acc should get reinstated! This info comes from ebay st3alth guide (page 30). If you're a US member, then ofc they will screw your acc up by asking for a valid SSN.... not many options there. :( The guide says that you can call them and ask for an alternative/option.... like voter's ID, and if they agree then create an appropriate sample. May be sometimes they will ask you to verify with your CC, a phone call, and a SSN. Then the top 2 can then be 'managed', and they will be satisfied! For a phone call, they might ask you to hear to a number code, and then punch that code into your mobile's dial-pad, or whatever.

P.S.:
Disclaimer :): I am a ebay seller, but not a stealth a/c holder, and obviously have never encountered this issue so... whatever! Twice, many years back, I was asked to provide them with my ID and bank details, which I did with my real details, and got cleared within a couple of days max.

P.P.S.:
If they said you're a security risk, then after getting reinstated, hopefully, MOVE ON and don't ever try to sell the same items again on this or any other stealth acc. Try to get your PP acc verified and confirmed, and try using a PP business acc if possible. If the acc is not reinstated, then again: MOVE ON, and never use the same details, phone number, items (VeRO), bank acc / CC details, address/es including IP address, IDs,etc ever again... never, on a new stealth account, no linking with any of the old account whatsoever...

My Paypal account was limited. They required PhotoID, SSN, tracking of some orders along with their invoices.
I can fake PhotoID, and these invoice. Tracking orders are updated correctly.
But I don't have SSN, I sent them an email that I am not a US citizen. They required to call to discuss more.
What should I do now?
I wonder if there is any chances that my account limitation can be removed?

Tell them you can give a voter's ID.. Whatever... I'm not an expert.

Well, this is the rub. There are lots products where there isn't such thing as an authorized seller for resale (luxury handbags) or there are very few authorized outlets where it is easy to confirm your fake documents (Apple) so if they've busted you for these things, turning in fake documents won't work. Looks like at this point you have nothing to lose though.

That depends on the brand. Remember that the whole VERO thing came about because they had to pay out $30 mil to LVMH to settle claims that they weren't doing anything about selling fakes. eBay/Paypal will actually care if the company is big enough and is aggressive about needling eBay.

You don't need SSN tbh. I'm not a US citizen either and I have couple old and verified accounts with Paypal. Just call them and explain your situation. I believe they will ask you for a national ID along with your photo ID in it.

And yes you can get your limitation removed as long as you call them.
