Hello BHW members, First of all, I apologize if this is in the wrong place. I had no idea as to where to ask this question, but this section seemed the most suitable to me. I was wondering, what happens to the master/visacard when I verify my paypal using a prepaid mastercard/visacard. Do they take it all or what? I also apologize if this is a stupid question but I just want to make sure I'm not blowing my money away. Thank you all.

Most of the time giftcards and virtual cards are not accepted by paypal. They have number detection system which checks the card validity date, some virtual cards have 1 year validity which are passe. Some have 24-48 hour validity so they fail.In rare case gift cards are accepted and same is the case with virtual cards.

I have had prepaid cards work just fine. If I remember correctly they charge a small fee on it to see if it goes through, after that its "verified"
The ones I have had good luck with is prepaid gift cards that come with the physical card. The Card usually won't expire for 1-2 years out.
