Thought of a new method but have a question now.. Is there a way to receive payment through paypal and then have them provided with a download?

Yeah, fairly easy to do just search google. Paypal has this feature.

i have done this using paypal's IPN (instant payment notification) feature by coding my own script that is notified when a payment is procecced and then automatically emails the user with the product.
