SOmebody threatened my friend that they will close their paypal account because he sold e-book that was copied.....

so what are the alternatives? He is freaking out.....I have heard paypal bans you easy for copywriting.....
what payment processor is second best, that can accept all kind of payment.....low fees,...friendly.....good support etc.....

You can try Payoneer, it supports all major currencies now,,, if you need anymore info, am here
 
PayPal will almost definitely not close his account. What can his client even do? File a dispute/chargeback? There is no buyer or seller protection for intangiable goods, which is what he sold (a custom book). PayPal doesn't care about an occassional dispute or chargeback.

Very true...they have other million things to do
 
in fact it was ebook, now the owner threatens him to report him to domain registrar any payment getaway......they even ordered the ebook.....via paypal.....because somebody told them it was partially copied from their book only few pages, which was also rewrittten from another book that was published in 80s.....lot of similar content....if they contact paypal, their lawyer...and showed them copies of that ebook will his account be terminated? he did not sell via ebay, just regular via email...

Yes PayPal will not care for few chargebacks.. I'm sure your friend misunderstood the email as per my knowledge PayPal has nothing to do with copyright infringement.
They can only limited your account in some cases..

As you said the work is done by your friend is not legal then you should go with some wallet not a payment processor..
You can try wmtransfer to get payment.
 
how will paypal not care about copywright? They are so against it, if you use some content from a book , few pages and sell it in your ebook, they will ban you for life no????
 
Who is this client/customer, anyway? You know that lawyers require like a $10k+ retainer to even consider taking on a case, right? Suing someone for copyright infringement is difficult and expensive.

Is this book even worth anything? If he hasn't made at least several tens of thousands of dollars from this book, there is absolutely no way that this guy is going to actually file a lawsuit.
 
he was contacted by their lawyer......it is a big company, i did researc them and find no lawsuits mentioned......maybe they just scare him
he is only freaking out because he might loose paypal, and domain....even though there is nothing copyrighted on website.......he cant sleep, he is depressed....and I told him to calm down.....
btw he is jobless with no money or real estate.....nothing
 
Also, it sounds like you're saying that your friend knowingly resold someone else's content in his eBook. While there's no way that this guy is actually going to do anything, your friend probably shouldn't be selling other people's content under his own name anyway.
 
he did not know.....somebody tricked him and sold him unique content........he had no idea, now he immadiately removed that content from ebook for ever.....but he is concerned about paypal.....what they will do.....becaue he likes to buy stuff on ebay, he uses paypal all the time for online shopping.....and lawyer threatens to report him to payment getaway
 
Well then, the company got what they want, which is that he's no longer selling that eBook. Your friend has no money, so there's no reason for lawyers to go after him.

If he's really worried about it, he could look into Bitcoin, since it is decentralized and there's no one for lawyers to report anything to.
 
he is selling ebook, because he wrote it himself, only that part was written by copywriter from India, and he fucked him....so he will sell it further.....
this company just wants to destroy him now.....ban his domain, his paypal etc......
bitcoin sucks....who is even using it, maybe 0.001 percent of people
 
Paypal will not close account for this reason. But Stripe is a Good alternative.

these are useless......you need to have same account to get paid.....but everage joe has only cc or paypal.......
 
If "everage joe" really wants to pay then they will do anything to pay.

If you can do LLC then register with 2CO.

Otherwise your products are just so bad that people just "meh whatever I really don't really need it though"... then yeah, deal with paypal then. Create a bunch of them then add a bunch of bank accounts then get limited and 6 months later withdraw it to your bank.

I guess you're from Asia? Because Paypal treats Asians like shit, they simply just say "we no longer want to work with you", "the decision is final", "the limit cannot be appealed" etc...
