Paypal alternative for big ecommerce site?

One of my site is now ranking #4 for a very hard keyword in Google.

I have had to go to the extent of hiring a VA to make sure my work flow was fluent and to avoid any unnecessary halts to our service.

I am currently using Paypal to process our payments and we are doing 4 figures a day right now because of the ranking we have achieved.
What payment processors are you using for big e/commerce sites and what will y'all recommend for me?

There are many popular options Authorize, Stripe, Powerpay etc. There are direct banks which can give you the best rates like Chase, Wells Fargo, Harris Bank etc. Then there are processors like Elavon, FirstData who can also allow you process cards. You should check all the charges and compare them mainly MDR, transaction fee, monthly fee and early termination fee.
 
webmoney, Moneybooker,payza, payonner etc are popular now a day can try these.
 
Why not use something like

and offer your client a multitude of payment options without the hassle of taking care of it yourself?
 
yes.. 2co, google checkout mycommerce plimus are big guns here..
 
I would go with 2checkout maybe. With it you can set up your payment system that accepts many different forms of payments and
2checkout has a decent fraud prevention system in place.
 
if you dont want to loos conversions offer additional payment possibilites ( like cc, wire transfer, cod, ect) but you dont want to remove a gateway, especially not paypal. what do you do if you have funds in your pp account but the shop does not offer it? right, the back button. better write PP, if sou have a decent revenue that flows through PP they will give you lower fees.

Issue with paypal for many is not the fees but the poor staff and horrible customer service. They just can take your money and
there is nothing you can do about it but wait and see.

I only know fishy business that have this issue. I am selling real valuable goods for 5 years now and never had an issue with PP.
