paypal advise needed

I sold a site recently and trusted the guy I sold to, but worried that he may open a dispute through paypal, and ill be out of pocket.

I read on here that if I ask for funds to be sent as gift that it would cover my ass, is this true?

Although I did ask him to do this - im not sure he did - would I get a receipt that states its a gift.

I have not took the fund out of paypal due to the chance he may open a dispute and my account will go into negative balance, and I use this account for other things.

Is there anything I can do to make me stop worrying about this.

And no I have no tracking number to prove I sent the item, just emails between buyer and seller.

It's true, if it's sent as a gift he can not file a dispute.

You can tell if he sent it as a gift if it was not taxed and you received the full amount sent.

Also you can see the type of payment it was, it will either say "Goods, Services, or Gift"

Iv got another question but on same topic, when you buy a item have you got a set time to inspect the item before you can open a dispute.

My point is if I buy a item and say it does not live up to my expectations, is it possible to open a dispute still, weeks or so later.

Could customers just open dispute when the novelty wears off, for example

You buy a website - its is everything that is advertised, but for some reason its too difficult to make money on it, then you open a dispute.

I have head paypal gives you a set time to examine the product before you can complain about it.
