Alright, so payoneer sent me an email that I violated their terms and condition and won't be able to use their services but I can still use my funding source. I have been using payoneer for over 3 years and have processed over 55k dollars. I live in Nigeria and I usually buy USDT with my payoneer card on Binance and sell off the USDT due to poor and unstable exchange rate in my country. Maybe that was the terms and condition that I broke. However, I read from their community from a staff that if my card permits the purchase, then that is fine as long as it is not payoneer to payneer user transaction. I have only one funding source which is Upwork and I do nothing else aside, withdraw my fund from upwork, use the payoneer card to purchase USDT. So, that could be the terms and condition I broke. I don't know and they refused to tell me.
However, I asked payoneer support staff that if I could see process fund using upwork and they said yes.
About a month ago, I had about $600 from Upwork that I wanted to send to my payoneer account. My instinct told me not to trust Payoneer, that I should send like $50 to check if they are saying the truth about still allowing me to prcess fund from my Upwork source. I did take my instict's suggestion and boom, Payoneer held the $50.
My happiness here is that I didn't send the $600 but tested with $50.
Then again, I was angry that they lied to me. I reached out to their support via livechat and email and they all said that there was no need to hold my money coming from upwork, that I have provided verifications long time ago. I waited and waited for them to resolve the issue, no way. I called their number and the person who attended to me apologized and at the end of my ranting, I got an email telling me that they have now sent me a request via my account to provide my Upwork profile URL or a website URL. I quickly provided my Upwork URL because that is where I freelance.
I did this since on the 20th of Ferbuary, up to this moment, it is still under review. What are they reviewing?
Also, Payoneer has made it impossible for my number to call their customer line.
Yes, they have right to chase me out of their platform but holding my income is criminal act. They are lucky that they are not based in my country, I would have personally gone their to fight them.
Checking on Twitter, I can see that many have similar issue.
This is me warning you to stay away from that company if you're a freelancer who lives outside of the USA and you work hard for all your pennies. The company has the worse support system and operates in secrecy. From every indications, they want to frustrate me until I forget about the money. I am also grateful that I didn't send in the entire $600 because that would have hurt me so bad. $600 is a meaningful money in my country.
Find alternative before you get into their net. They are very dubious. The company is terrrible and evil. They are bullies.
STAY AWAY FROM PAYONEER before you get into trouble. Even Payapl do tell you when you would cash out your balance if they block your account. Payoneer is simply a criminal company these days.
