Wanted to share some experience and also hear how others handle this.
While working with a few online businesses over time (digital services, subscriptions, ecom), payments turned out to be way harder than expected. Not traffic, not sales but payments.
Things often look fine at the start, then reviews kick in, payouts slow down, reserves appear, or accounts just stop working. Rates were never the real issue for us ,stability and predictability mattered much more.
Another thing I noticed is that relying on a single processor usually doesn’t end well once volume starts growing. Even setups that look “safe” can change overnight.
There’s no universal solution obviously, but having the right structure early saves a lot of stress later.
Curious how others here deal with payment processing once they start scaling. What worked for you and what didn’t?
