Recently, when adding a master card to an advertising account, the account Verification error, but no need to Re-verify, and the strange thing that happened was that Spending up to a certain threshold, they suddenly had an error, and could not pay, even though they changed different types of cards - Account need to pay (error). After a few days, everything automatically paid successfully. I don't know if the cause is due to the account, the profile or the card? I hope to hear opinions and shares from everyone.

Maybe the problem is that the card and account are not compatible because the country you choose to bill is not the same as the country with your card so fb suspected a payment problem and restricted it
Try again with other cards and make sure there is no hold

yeah thats fb payment system acting weird. usually when u hit a new spend threshold they block cards for a bit until trust builds. not always the card issue, more like acc + billing profile. after few days if it pays fine then it was just fb risk check

With this error you need to wait at least 48 hours. You can pay normally again and do not need to change the card.

recently facebook is scanning payment cards, to avoid that situation happening again i think you should add 2 payment cards so they can take turns when an error occurs
and when an error occurs try paying less than the balance everything will be better

That behavior usually comes from Facebook’s risk checks rather than your card itself. When spend hits a new threshold, the system may temporarily block payments to verify activity isn’t fraudulent. Even if you switch cards, the hold can still trigger because it’s tied to the ad account/profile trust level, not just the payment method.
That’s why after a few days it auto-clears and charges successfully. To reduce this, keep the same verified card, pay on time, and scale spend gradually so the account builds trust.
It’s less about the card, more about Facebook’s internal risk system.
Would you like me to break down how Facebook’s spend thresholds work so you can predict when these holds might trigger?

I have had this kind of experience, firstly you will need to increase your payment threshold to give flexibility over the amount you spend. As for the card, its nothing serious, it happens sometimes just network issue, if it was something serious, it wouldn't automatically pay another day

That usually happens when Facebook flags the payment temporarily often linked to account trust or card verification checks

I chatted with meta team. They said facebook payment gateway was temporarily blocked for that account. After checking they told me to top up another card. Then I paid successfully. You should chat with meta team or they will call directly

In recent days, this situation has been happening mostly in Meta when payment methods are suddenly blocked. The solution is to add a new payment method, then wait for about 5 minutes, then pay off the outstanding balance and push the advertising card up as the main advertising card, then maintain the 2 advertising cards in that account for advertising activities.

Payment method errors can sometimes happen randomly on Meta’s side, even when everything seems fine with the card or account. Often it’s temporary and resolves itself after a few days, as you noticed.
