I was wondering if it is nornal that if you buy links and need the links to be changed becaues of a domain change, did your link provider try to charge you almost as much as the original link? We are talking 1 link on a blog page not a whole package of links. The websites are owned by the blogger and is a PBN

When you do buy a link, you basically pay for the spot rented or paid for within the website(s), the content added and the efforts made to place it,
If you need the replace the link, none of a new spot either content will be added, so logically, no seller should charge you the same price for this,
At its maximum, he should charge you a simple fee to make the changes & in most of the cases it shouldn't be done

This was my thinking. there are about 10 links that I purchase which are very very good links the purchase date is staggered out with the first one being almost a year ago but I don’t see how that matters it takes all of five minutes to change a link in a word press website. How are you going to justify to me charging me $30 for five minutes of work? At that $100 because there are 10 links.

it is called making money!

is it a seller on bhw?

can you work out a deal with him, you buy additional links and for a nominal fee he changes the old links?

They should just change the links. That’s besides the fact that when I originally signed up with them they told me that they have an agency discount then when i went to buy links the same guy said they don’t have any such discounts.

I am not going to pay one dime, and I can buy links in a million places. I spent almost $700 on 10 links Now i feel like they want to force me to pay because the links are of value because of ME. $100 I can replace them with a lower cost service and build it back up.

And what they get to sale the page with my content to someone else for more money???
I paid for the links and everything on on those pages, give me a login and i will change it myself.

i doubt many pbn providers would agree with you

interested to know what @tiiberius thoughts on this.

So how much should be paid for an $85 link. The whole page is my content.
look at it from their perspective. if they allowed agencies to keep changing their backlinks, then how would they make money or manage all the changes that comes their way.

If it was changed to another company, then i could understand. To change to another page or domain for the same business, no.

You mentioned it is PBN link but this pricing for a single link sounds more like link insertion or guest post. Which is then?

In any case, the additional charge makes sense. It's not about the content but the link itself.

Why?

Because if the link is simply changed, you now have 2 links for the price of one!

It takes several weeks on average (in some cases months) before the original link is devalued and no longer counts. OBL on the website is not -1 immediately (far from it).

so there is no such thing as a guest post in a PBN?
like I was saying above we do run additional links to the original article that was posted by the provider which increases the value of that particular page. So the links do not decrease in value it increases in value over time as we work on it.

Yes, there is technically.

Is he aware of this?

You could make a deal that you build new links and he allows you to change the link for free.

However, I personally do not like or allow this. Usually these links make the PBN unit spammy. Especially ones done by software.

I typically allow one change (if there's a good reason) but if it's a totally different link then it's gonna cost, to pay for my time.

That's why I don't allow guest writers to have edit access - they'd be changing things and adding new ones left, right and centre.
