Hey guys.

Is anybody hiring bloggers?

If so, how much are you are paying them per month?

Thanks.

I've never hired a blogger, however I've looked into setting up a content creation service before working with bigger targets as oppose to just people on an IM forum so maybe I can give out some advice here.

I assume what you're looking for is some kind of ghost writer who can update your blog with posts every so often. If you're looking for a proper kind of bloggy blog which is really user engaging, I then further assume that you're going to be wanting a native English writer whom not only can post content but also humor and various skills you really only learn by being native, or immersing yourself in the culture a lot.

These don't come cheap. They'll range from shit like $3/100 words to anything like $20/100 words.

Ok. Thanks for advice. Needed to know the price range ...

I know a friend who hired a blogger to post on his blog and he used to share 40% of the profit with the blogger.

I'd rather pay for each article he writes. Most writers would charge you a fee for xx words, better than when you pay him a monthly fee and he rarely blogs.

Ok now.. the big question. where is the best place to go to hire writers? I used to have really good luck outsourcing on DP but the last few projects I posted there (design not writing) I got crap responses either people who just joined or people saying $500 for a WP theme.

Try odesk or freelancer, and make sure they send you a writing sample ahead of time. Give them a few easy test articles to write, and if you like what they do, keep them.

I have just hired a writer to write 1 article/day on one of my blog, but it's not really a blog, just a wordpress site. He will start the project on Monday. I will pay him per article, weekly. I created him an 'author' account so he can post the article directly. He will also need to create the description meta, tags, as well as linking to other articles for internal linking purpose.

When everything goes smoothly, I'll add another blog for him. I'm sure there will be some 'adjustments' or corrections along the way, but that's just a part of the process. I pay him $2.5/article. He's not native speaker (Indian I believe, it seems he doesn't want to talk about it, lol) but I have hired him to create more then 50 articles on various topics and the quality is worth the price. I should say, it's actually cheap, so don't ask me his contact, lol.

Ok. Thanks for advice.
I have an article writer writing for $3 pr article.
She's Palestinian...
I was thinking of asking here to blog...
so I don't have to since the niche I'm in is pretty BOOORING! lol

search here ,may be you find good deal ,i found them from freelancer.com place your bid as low as u can with your requirements

well the price will always vary, if your looking for a person whose experienced in the niche they are writing for it will always cost a bit more opposed to someone who just writes and has no knowledge about the niche. so the real focus is on quality of the blogging, and how much your willing to spend on quality

You're right makeloot.
however if a writer who knows nothing to begin with, about "acid diet" for example, start to write on this topic for more then 10 articles, he will quite understand the topic, enough to create quite decent articles.

I trained a friend of mine to write and I gave him 'diabetes' topic, and in just few days, he can write an 'almost perfect' article about diabetes. He started with zero knowledge about diabetes and almost no writing skill. He didn't know what the heck is adsense...

When I say 'almost perfect' I mean, it's just an article for us, common IMers who will use it on a common blog monetized with adsense-cpa-affiliate.... or to submit the article on ezines, so no need to hire a professional diabetes expert.

So yes, it comes down to what do you want it for, what is your purpose. No need to pay $15/article if you only use it for ezine. You can get a quite decent multi nested spun article with that rate :)

But yes, I'm talking as a common "blogger", I don't run an authority site.

Anyway, I just found another 'good' writer at $3/500 words rate. Ordered 5 articles on a really uncommon topic (a product I don't even know it exist, lol), and pushed him to finish it under 3 hours (it's a test anyway), and he made it. his work is quite good for that rate, he knows about basic seo-ed article, keyword density..., and the article flows smoothly. Enough for my MNB *micro niche blog*

the payment would depend on how good the blogger is, and how much traffic he/she is generating.

Hi,

I also meet the problem to find a good article writer a half year ago.
Reasoned by my english is very bad. :)

I try many of freelancers but only one of them are good enough to proove really interesting articles (native english, and he is a commerical writer, also have publications at hardward).

He is write me 3.5 usd / 500 words because i order in bulk - but this is quality content (checked by people who is native)
I used this guy to many project.

Now it is seems to be worth the money, generate very good number of visitors to my blogs and niche sites.

i think the prices vary from $3 to $50 per article depending how complex and well structured you would like your blog posts to be and how much work is involved.

It depends on from which country your blogger is from. If you want a perfect writer then you have US writers as your best bet. However the rates is quite pricey so you might want to hire from India or Philippines. Opt to pay per month, around $250-300 per month is fine.
