Is Paydotcom worth generating a sale for marketplace so affiliates can promote for you?

Clickbank just rejected my product which is so depressing after all the work and hasslte to get it done and going.

But I was wondering about this Paydotcom if people actually promote?

I used it in the past. People do actually try and promote it. Problem is, they also use it just to buy your product to get a discount and they do nothing beyond this. I think you should definitely give it a try. There looks to be plenty of active affiliates using PDC.

Good thing about paydotcom is they pay by paypal. The downside is they have very limited offers availablie.

Paydotcom is similar to clickbank but the better is that we can be paid via paypal.

I've recently switched over to PDC. The 60 day money back guarantee and the shaving at CB have gotten to be too much.

@Therookie: I don't have my own product but from everything I've read it's easier to get your product accepted there. If your product is good and your payout is good I don't see why affiliates wouldn't promote it. Have you tested it?

    Good Luck,

The problem I came across with PDC is that their affiliates are not very active.

I loved their instant payouts, but their forum is absolutely dead. I was hoping with the amount of people using PDC that their vendor-affiliate forum would be somewhat active...but no dice. I still got a good amount of affiliates, but in the end I just dropped it and switched to eJunkie. Less fees and less of a hassle to get affiliates.

I say give it a go, but don't get your hopes up:D

The one thing to be aware of with PDC is that it's NOT PDC paying the affiliates every month. It's the merchant and that's one of the big things, IMO, that keeps some affiliates away from PDC (which I'm sure isn't something you want to hear).

Although 90% of the time I have been paid when I've promoted a product on PDC, the other 10% cause me to shy away more often than not and now I only use products from there as supplementary products on my sites, or, if the merchant is somebody with a solid reputation (which still doesn't make them 100% infallible either I guess).

One thing you might want to consider, since PDC requires you to pay affiliates anyhow is to go with a script like Rapid Action Profits or even the $7 Dollar Secrets script. That way affiliates will be paid immediately and you don't have to worry about end of month payments. Of course, I guess the drawback there is that you'd have to build you're affiliate base without the potential base of affiliates that can be found at PDC.

The tracking is awful. I've tried pushing a couple of products that used paydotcom (including creztor's :)) and could never get paid because their tracking was screwed up.

edit: don't want to sound like i'm bitching about crez. not his fault at all.

Personally I think this is the worse thing about paydotcom and is why I wouldnt touch them with a bargepole, for them to rival clickbank they need to introduce merchant processing instead of relying on gaypal and the publishers to sort out the affiliate commision.

Relying on Gaypal for ANYTHING is a recipe for disaster.

i've been scammed by a publisher on paydotcom.I never got the commisions i earned back in December and i should got the money in January.Well it is still February and i haven't seen any money.I've tried to contact the publisher many times and i got absolutly no answer.I have contact the help desk from paydotcom and what have they said? ?????
    "try to contact the owner"
"you will be payed but maybe the publisher is waiting for potential refunds request(AND THE PRODUCT HAS NO REFUND POLICY and they know that"
    Latest answer from the helpdesk:
"That does not matter(that the product has no refund policy), Paypal has a mandatory 60 day period in which a buyer can ask for a refund.
    Take Care,"
    so wtf?
i'm sure that i will never see that money and that was the chance i gave paydotcom and they blow it.The 2 months refund policy from paypal expires 1st march so will i get the money then? :))) or maybe on 2nd March because that's when the 60 days period expires i forgot :)
Hope you never get into this with them.

    Good luck anyway
