I don't want to sound like a newbie lazy ass. But being a new isn't it just better to pay someone to rank your sites. Someone tell me I'm way off base.

Yes if you have never done seo before then sometimes its better to just pay someone that knows what they are doing.
A few things to look at if this is your main business and don't want a chance for your site to get banned then make sure you find someone that does white hat seo only.
If its a turn and burn site then you can use black hat to get the site ranked faster.

The only problem with this approach, is who do you trust if you have no knowledge on what to look for in a supplier, when you do not know anything about SEO. Try and learn the basics first, then order the job from someone that you researched for the job. Good luck, it´s a jungle out there .. =)

Thanks much. I'm trying to see the Jungle for the trees. Once I have decided on a method for my site and learn the hell out of the basics of that method I think help on the implementation will be considered.
