Out of curiosity,

Has anyone done this before without any issues?

I figured PPC offers that were fed "paid traffic" were unethical, but how else are you supposed to get visitors to your offer?

It might be risky, but I feel like I've seen several people talking about paid traffic (there was always mention of a potential ban).

That is if I can remember correctly :/

There's a few things you have to keep in mind with paid traffic.

First, make sure your installer follows Google's / Bing's installer guidelines. You'll have to research to see what those guidelines are, but some of them are making sure the end user can skip offers, digitally sign your software, have terms and conditions on your site and with each offer screen, make sure the software IS what you say it is, make sure the software can be uninstalled, no hidden installs, etc.

Second, some paid advertising won't let you advertise directly to download offer pages, so make a bridge page or a review type page. If you want to do cloaking, that's up to you, but I personally think it's too much of a hassle.

In short - be real, be legit, be upfront, work it like a real business and not a blackhat quick buck type of "offer". You'll have a lot less headaches that way.

Hope this helps.

If you have any other questions or need further clarifications, please let me know and I'll see how I can help.
