Pay Per Ad Load?

I have tried lurking here for a tad, and I still am not clear if PPV or Pay Per Impression really equates to "Pay Per Ad Load". Like in the olden times of the Web. Someone mind clearing this up for me?

Yes...you pay everytime someone views your page....like ppc is to a click....ppv is per view....but very cheap like 0.005-2 cents per view...
