You know how some sites have an option of "Pay By Visa"... And you enter your visa, and the money goes to the site/person/company.... Where does the money go? Their paypal? or their bank?

I guess it goes to their credit card.

It goes to their merchant account/payment processor. And ya, that could be a bank or they could use paypal or they could use a merchant account...

The money goes through what's known as a merchant account, after which funds are processed and sent to their bank.

Merchant accounts are only available by application, and most banks offer an online version (in addition to offline versions such as credit card processors which are essentially the same thing - but physical).
