Paxful website scams - please be careful !!!

Paxful is a website where you can buy bitcoin and other crypto. Immediately after you open an account and click "buy crypto", you will see the list of the sellers available for chat. please see the photo below.



So, these "sellers" have mostly from 10 to 30 positive reviews,which are all fake. And all of them are ranked to the top of the sellers list!
I literally believe all of them are SCAMMERS from India,Bangladesh,Kenya,African countries etc...im writing this with all respect to all those honest people who live in these mentioned countries. Not all people are bad and scammers, but these surely are! SO I BELIEVE THAT ALL THOSE SELLERS ARE THERE INTENTIONALLY, ON PURPOSE. THEY ARE ON TOP OF THE LIST. So, when a newbie signs up on the website, he could be easily scammed right away, in no time. Just like i was two days ago.
I made this thread so the people on google could see it eventually...Newbies who want to buy some crypto, please be careful. I can't tell that the whole Paxful website is scam, but certainly those fake sellers in the list, they are there on purpose. Because Paxful administration did nothing to remove/ban them. I believe the scams there are happening daily, every single minute. And they don't care about it, maybe they are also the part of the deal.

Also, customer support didn't say anything wrong to you, they asked for proof which is normal.

I guess you did something wrong, as far as I know, these platforms force the sellers to block the crypto in the platform before they start selling it.

Anyways, open a dispute in PayPal, maybe they can help you get your money back.

they said i did not close the trade once you have completed the payment. or something like that. i already started paypal disupte

keep in mind you may loose your paypal account cause buying/selling btc with paypal is not allowed

In my observation, you getting scammed is clearly your fault. I guess you are new to p2p trade.
You didn’t mark your trade as paid after making the payment which is very important.
If you did that it will be difficult to scam you as you already confirmed you have completed the payment.

Trying to report lots of accounts as scammers without providing a valid proof isn’t going to work.You can’t just take a screenshot of the suspected accounts and expect the support team to ban them without any proof.

I made some transaction on paxul few years ago without problem

it is SHOCKING, SHOCKING i say, that Paxful has scams on it

look what scammer made and sent to me. he wanted 96$ more at the end. if i were able to find him,i would literaly chop his damn HEAD OFF.

Paxful is full of shitty scammers. I have been scammed twice there.

I mean they show that pretty clearly on their registrations page, you see the buyer and the seller arguing about their coins missing, and support is sitting there with their legs already broken.

You are blaming Paxful. I did lots of transaction Paxful without any issue.

The additional $96 is asking by the system by default as the previous one did not finished according to the system.

Can you share the chat with the seller because the seller is the scammer not paxful and seller can control it and give you a refund.​

If it says "new offer" on the trade, that means the seller hasn't had any previous transactions. If there is an average trade time instead that means the seller has had previous transactions so is likely legit. Avoid all sellers that have "new offer" on their listings as they are probably scammers.

he moved the conversation to what's app.......asking for more money. Paxful removed his account very fast,but that did not help me. And of course,he will make 30 new accounts without any issues. And Paxful will still not care about it.

Yes this is true they offer ridiculous prices for exchange and then use a service like wise or payoneer.

they send you the cash and then cancel the payment. If your a noob it’s so easy to get scammed.

you look at loads of reviews and there all good.

the money actually shows up as it’s coming to your account.

scammer cancels payments and has got your crypto already.

If they use PayPal they just claim it back

if they use credit card or bank transfer they just ring the bank and say the whole transaction wasn’t them.

it is actually full to the brim of scams or there’s people offering 1:1 and that’s pointless as you would just buy it online yourself without the risk of using p2p.

the scams are so easy to spot once you know what’s up. So how comes paxful can’t employ somebody to go online and do a trade with these scammers all day until the scammers think it’s not even worth there time.

they could also easily add some extra warnings in bright red or something that explains the common scams with the choose payment method.

I reported somebody once as well and didn’t even hear back from support lol

In my opinion it’s not a safe place if your noob. They say there’s escrow bits it’s automatic they should offer a real middle man service with somebody who talks to you and can see what’s going on live.

I’ve heard numerous reports of scammers scamming people and actually winning the dispute aswell. How the hell does that manage to happen?
