A feature to temporarily hide your BST in case you're being overloaded and need just a couple of days (or weeks) to recoup and fulfill pending orders. And then you can re-activate the thread when you're ready?

Maybe not hide it, or all the customers will freak out. But like pause it, so we can see the BST but its mentioning that its paused.

Then report it again when ready to be reopened.

If anything, it saves responsible sellers getting behind with orders and ending up on Shitlists

No, the $30 fee is for the annual cost. Edit changes do cost, but temp closing and reopening within the 12 months we can do for you, while ever the BST is active.

but I see 2 negative sides of this: first thing it's extra work for you while already you are overwhelmed, second thing buyers especially noobs will think the service closed for a bad reason or seller stopped selling ... and this will affect the sales rate...
while such feature will be a positive addon for all parts, hope to escalate this suggestion to DD .

I'd suggest it'd need to be done sensibly and in moderation.
If a seller is asking their sales thread to be paused every month, then I'd question their ability to manage a sales thread.

The seller can post in their own thread they aren't taking orders for xx weeks or xx days.

Simply post a message in your thread and checkout page that says next orders will not start before xx/xx, TAT will be longer of x due to X reasons
